Those
Chatliners who were paying
attention a few months ago,
will remember that Plymouth
Club is trying to raise funds to refurbish and support our wonderful
Soroptimist International Residential Club,
63 Bayswater Road, in
London.(for details see
www.soropclub63.org.uk
.
"63"
(The Residential Club) is
available for all travelling Soroptimists, (as well as for their
families and friends,) seeking reasonably priced, comfortable
accommodation in central London, where they can stay amongst friendly
fellow Soroptimists, looked after by the hospitable manager of 63,
Gloria Proops, and her team. As part of our commitment to promoting International Goodwill and Understanding, and with the blessing of the Management Committee of 63 Bayswater Road, we initiated a fundraising project -The 2000 Club - to help towards the cost of essential repairs and refurbishment of the building, currently being undertaken. Click here to read rules. We need to recruit more people to join the 2000 Club. The big half-year prize, and the big accumulators, is approaching rapidly, at the end of June. Several Soroptimist Clubs and their members have already been lucky, with some 20 cash prizes won so far in our monthly draw. Anyone can join the 2000 Club at any time - it is also open to everyone, including friends, family, and general public, as well as Soroptimists - remember that the more members we have, the bigger the prizes, and, more importantly, the more money is being raised for our Soroptimist International Residential Club.
The
cost is £52 per annum, payable either
Annually,
Half Yearly, Quarterly,
Credit Card or one-off payment by
cheque.
