These are our current projects :
Domestic Violence Bookmarks - ‘Loves me - Loves Me Not’
The bookmark gives a simple message and is easily accessible to pick up and take away as well as providing a helpline for those who need support.
25 senior schools in our area were then sent an advisory pack which contained a letter of introduction and explanation, a Soroptimist International Plymouth & District “You’re a What?” leaflet, a copy of the “Loves Me Loves Me Not” bookmark, a response slip and s.a.e.
Following an encouraging response from various schools, 200 bookmarks (unless more requested) were packaged to each one and distributed by our club members.
It is now our plan to make them available to clubs, organisations, sports facilities, libraries, cinemas etc.

‘Loves Me - Loves Me Not’ Bookmarks
AIMS - to raise awareness of increasing domestic violence in our young people and to have the bookmarks into local schools by September, specifically for Year 9 students as part of their Healthy Relationships Programme.
An article on Domestic Violence was spotted in the Plymouth Magazine, written by Rebecca Ellerbeck of Wolferstans solicitors. Realising that it would be useful to secure some outside funding for the project, a meeting was arranged between the two parties with a view to working together if possible.
Wolferstans very kindly agreed to a generous donation which helped fund the printing of 10,000 bookmarks.
The bookmark gives a simple message and is easily accessible to pick up and take away as well as providing a helpline for those who need support.
