Our Work is what we call Programme Action
Club Programme Action Officer:
We call our voluntary work “Programme Action”. Programme Action is one of the reasons for being a Soroptimist. It reflects the Vision and the Mission of Soroptimist International. You can see for yourself how our Club gets involved with Programme Action by looking through our Project Archives.
Programme Focus
The SI Programme Focus is a set of goals and objectives which relates directly to the Programme Areas. This provides the structure, or “focus” of all our project work. It is updated once every four years at the International Convention.
Project Sierra: Quadrennial Project:
Project Sierra is a four-year partnership between Soroptimist International and Hope and Homes for Children which aims to raise over £1 million ($2 million USD) to transform the lives of some of the most deprived women and children in the world. Click here for further information.
Our club is also involved in other service projects, such as:
- Toiletries and Christmas gifts for ladies and children of Trevi House
- Cooking lessons, toiletries, new home cleaning kits, and Christmas gifts for ladies and children of the Women’s Refuge
- Support for Love in a Box
- Food Bank Supermarket Collections
- Lunch in aid of Human rights day
